I’ve been testing out Firefox 3 Beta 2 and it’s quite impressive. Chief among the new goodies is the many fixed memories leaks, and those are very impressive. Right now I’m using Firefox with three tabs open on a Pentium III 900MHz machine with 128Mbs of RAM, and it’s running quite well. No bad memory leaks to speak of here; it’s only using 41 MBs of memory. That’s a HUGE improvement over Firefox 2, and now I can’t wait for the final release.
